Collection: Celadon ware (Thailand)

Celadon ware

Celadon ware is one of the three major pottery wares in Thailand and is a traditional and historical celadon porcelain made in northern Thailand (such as Chiang Mai) that has been around for about 700 years. It is a hard pottery that uses only natural wood ash glaze and is fired at a high temperature. It has a delicate image because it is characterized by a gentle green like jade and an intrusion like a pattern, but it is thick and heavy and made strong. It goes well with Japanese tableware and can be used as an accent for coordination.

Typical potteries include Siam Celadon, Chiang Mai Celadon, and Baan Celadon. Each one has a different personality and is making a wonderful piece.
