An octagon that beautifully colors the dining table
Placing an octagonal bowl inside a round bowl brings rhythm and change to a balanced dining table. The gradation of color created by the edge with antique feeling and the condition of the glaze create a wonderful atmosphere.
Sepia blue with refreshing and colorful expressions
A cool and refreshing sepia blue. The gradation of the glaze that appears throughout the vessel is expressive and gives a warm feeling. The tasteful rims are sharply tightened and the elegance is increasing.
Taste unique to soil
The distortion unique to the Tatara technique (molding using a plaster mold) is very tasteful. The soil belongs to Mashiko. The soil in Mashiko is rather coarse, so there are relatively many stone cracks and pinholes. It has a warm texture that allows you to enjoy the expression of each piece.
Just the right size to fit on your dining table
With a size of about 14cm x about 12cm, it doesn't take up too much space on the dining table, so it's likely to be used a lot. The vivid sepia blue brightens up the table as a serving plate, salad, Japanese sweets, baked sweets, and fruits.
Because each one is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, and glaze unevenness. In addition, depending on the degree of glaze and the characteristics of the soil, the appearance of each piece varies, such as the degree of burnt color, pinholes, iron powder (black spots), and stone cracks. Please rest assured that there is no problem in using it. We hope that you will enjoy the unique taste and individuality of handmade products. You can't choose which item you receive, but we hope you'll look forward to it until it arrives. If you are interested, please contact us before shipping and we will email you a separate photo.

Recommended care methods and precautions from Sayo Yagami |
〇Since the glaze is hard to penetrate, it is not necessary to seal it, but if you are worried about it, put the rice in a container such as a pot and leave it overnight, then leave it well. Please wash and dry before use.
〇 Do not put or leave dark-colored ingredients, curry or oily foods on it for a long time. |
Understanding of "Utsuwa" |
〇Because each product is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, uneven colors and shading will appear. 〇Because the painting is also hand-painted one by one, the expression may differ. 〇 Depending on the product, there may be small holes, small black dots, line scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, or distortion due to the manufacturing process. 〇 We have processed the image of the product so that the color is as close to the real thing as possible, but the color and texture may look different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone. 〇In our shop, we not only inspect the manufacturer, pottery, and artist, but also deliver products that have passed the final inspection at our store. 〇 Product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be the same in detail. 〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer's convenience. Please purchase after understanding and acknowledging this. 〇 We would be happy if you could enjoy the “taste” and “interest” of handmade products that are not found in factory mass-produced products! |
