Ms. Okazaki, who lives in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, creates beautiful pottery that makes your heart dance just by looking at it.
Each motif is adorable, and yet you can feel the texture of the earthenware that is unique to ceramics. It's a piece that you'll want to look at forever.
Ms. Okazaki says, "I paint things around me, adding a little accent to them in my own way." These familiar items give us a sense of security and a warm, gentle feeling.
The patterns are carved freehand with a thin needle, giving the piece a sense of the fluctuating quality that only something handmade can have, creating a slow-paced atmosphere.
The shape was created almost entirely on a potter's wheel. It has a solid presence, is easy to use, and is a size that seems suitable for a wide range of uses.

There is no need to seal the pores, but I was advised that for dark-colored dishes such as curry, it is a good idea to rinse it in water before using it.
