She likes the color and texture of pottery. It says that even if she has been making pottery for years, it is still moved when something new comes out of the kiln by chance, because the color and texture of the glaze are not known until the pottery is fired and taken out of the kiln. She creates pottery every day with the hope of conveying that feeling.
