Fascinated by Slipware
It all started when she picked up a book on slipware in a university library. She was instantly captivated and deeply moved by the diverse slipware pieces featured in it. Today, she pursues a unique expression of slipware, combining traditional slipware techniques with newly acquired painting skills.
Slipware: Her Unique Sensibility in Form
Slipware is created by applying layers of creamy slip (liquid clay) onto the base clay and decorating it before firing. The bold compositions, delicate and refined designs, and vibrant yet serene colors and palettes are captivating to behold.
Captivating Beauty
Despite the highly challenging technique, which requires drawing patterns before the slip dries and without prior sketching, demanding a single, continuous stroke, the delicate and dynamic depictions are truly captivating.

Also, be careful not to scrub too hard, as this may cause the gold to peel off. 〇 We recommend using a neutral kitchen detergent and a soft sponge, without abrasive cleaners. After washing, ensure the piece is thoroughly dry before storing it. |
