Gentle and comforting for your table
Layers of soft colors, as if gently painted with watercolors. The smoky colors and original matte glaze create an alluring, hazy expression within the calm hues. There is a sense of nostalgia here, a gentleness that emerges and helps you simply let your guard down.
Because the shape is simple, the color combinations created by the way the glaze is applied and the slight variations from the handmade process stand out. It is this gentleness, leaving behind traces of craftsmanship, that you can feel precisely because it isn’t perfectly uniform. Every time you use it, you can discover a unique landscape within the piece.
It blends seamlessly into your everyday table while making your usual meals feel just a little bit special. Perfect for breakfast bread, seasonal fruits, or dinner side dishes, it also looks beautiful when used to serve food directly to guests. It doesn't just brighten up your dining table—it has a presence that makes you want to keep it on display in your cupboard as part of your home, even when it’s not in use.
It brings a premonition that your usual meals will become a time to look forward to. As it accompanies these casual moments, it gently eases your mind with every use. This is tableware designed not just for special days, but to help you cherish even the most ordinary ones.
As each piece is handmade, there are individual variations in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze pooling, stone inclusions, slight wobbling, and subtle differences in patterns. You may also notice differences in glaze application, crazing, pinholes, or iron specks (black spots), but these do not affect usage. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics of handmade pottery. While we cannot choose which specific piece you receive, we hope you will look forward to its arrival. If you have any concerns, please contact us before shipping and we will be happy to email you separate photos.

| Recommended care and tips from Mami Furukawa |
| 〇 For clay pots and heat-resistant items, please perform "medome" (sealing the pores) before first use. 〇 To perform medome, cook a batch of porridge or boil water with a bit of rice added. The key is to use low heat and be careful not to burn it. 〇 After washing, if moisture remains, it may cause mold, so please dry thoroughly before storing. 〇 We hope you enjoy the way the piece gradually develops its own character the more you use it. |
| Understanding our "Utsuwa" (tableware) |
|
〇 Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, and weight. Even with the same glaze and clay, color unevenness and shading will occur. 〇 As hand-painted pieces, each item may have a slightly different expression. 〇 Depending on the manufacturing process, some items may have small holes, tiny black spots, faint scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, or slight distortion. 〇 We strive to process our images to match the actual products as closely as possible, but colors and textures may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display. 〇 In addition to inspections by the manufacturer, studio, or artist, we carry out a final inspection at our shop before shipping. 〇 Product photos are of samples; the item you receive will not be identical in every detail. 〇 We cannot accept returns or exchanges for customer convenience. Thank you for your understanding. 〇 We hope you will enjoy the "charm" and "character" of handmade goods that are not found in mass-produced factory items! |
