A classical and elegant appearance
The carving on the rim is graceful, giving it an antique feel. The warm, soft white of the kohiki glaze beautifully adorns your dining table.

Warm white kohiki glaze
Kohiki pottery with a soft appearance, achieved by applying white slip. The slightly reddish speckles, known as "gohon," unique to kohiki, appear like light pink, adding an ineffable warmth.

A profound appearance
The iron content in the clay oxidizes during firing, appearing as black spots (iron particles) on the surface of the vessel. These scattered black iron spots enhance its profound character.

As an individual plate
With a diameter of approximately 12 cm, it can be used not only as a coaster for the Rinka Yunomi teacup, but also as a small plate. It's perfect for serving Japanese sweets like nerikiri or monaka with tea, or for side dishes such as tsukemono (pickles) or shira-ae (mashed tofu salad).

Each piece is handmade, so there are individual differences in color, shape, size, thickness, weight, and glaze unevenness. Also, depending on how the glaze is applied, the firing color, pinholes, and iron spots (black dots) will vary, giving each piece a unique character. Please be assured that these do not affect usability. We hope you enjoy the unique and rich expressions that come from handmade items. While you cannot choose which specific item you receive, we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you are concerned, please contact us before shipping, and we will email you additional photos.

| Recommended Care Instructions from Furutani Pottery |
| 〇 When first using, lightly wash with detergent and use as is. 〇 When serving oily or dark-colored dishes, quickly rinse the item in water to allow it to absorb moisture before use, which helps prevent stains. 〇 Due to its absorbency, the item may temporarily turn gray or develop spots when submerged in water, but it will return to its original state when completely dry, so please do not worry. 〇 After use, dry thoroughly before storing to prevent mold and stains. |
| Important Information Regarding Pottery Before Purchase |
| 〇 Due to being handmade, each piece will have individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Even with the same glaze and clay, there will be variations in color and shade. 〇 As each pattern is hand-painted, expressions may differ. 〇 Depending on the manufacturing process, products may have small holes, tiny black spots, scratches, protrusions, pinholes, slight wobbles, or distortions. 〇 While we process images to make them as close as possible to the actual color, the color and texture may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display. 〇 We deliver items that have passed not only inspections by the manufacturer, kiln, or artist but also our final inspection. 〇 Product photos are samples; the item you receive will not be identical in every detail. 〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer preferences.
