Make your white rice even more delicious
Rice is the source of our energy. You likely eat rice out of a bowl at least once a day. If you eat hot, fluffy white rice from your favorite bowl, your appetite and energy will double.

Not heavy, and easy to hold
At approximately 165g, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It is just the right size to fit perfectly in one hand. The "shinogi" (fluted) exterior makes it fit snugly in your palm, resulting in a design that is very easy to hold.

Warm and inviting white Kohiki
The rustic, warm white Kohiki glaze, combined with vertical iron lines and a faint reddish hue characteristic of "gohon" (a spotted firing effect), creates an indescribable texture. Every line is carved with care. It is rustic and warm, making your fluffy rice taste even better.

Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, thickness, weight, and glaze consistency. Additionally, the fired color, pinholes, and iron spots (black dots) will vary depending on how the glaze is applied. Please rest assured that this does not affect its use. We hope you enjoy these unique characteristics that only handmade items possess. While we cannot allow you to choose which specific item you will receive, we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you have concerns, please contact us before shipping and we will be happy to email you separate photos.

| Recommended care instructions from Furutani Pottery |
|
〇 Upon first use, simply wash it gently with dish soap and it is ready to use. 〇 When serving oily or dark-colored food, briefly rinse the bowl in water beforehand; this will help prevent staining. 〇 Because the pottery is porous, it may change to a gray color or develop spots when soaked in water, but please rest assured that it will return to its original state once completely dry. 〇 After use, allow it to dry thoroughly before storing to prevent mold and stains. |
| Important notes before purchase regarding our ceramics |
|
〇 Because each piece is handmade, individual differences occur in color, shape, patterns, size, thickness, and weight. Additionally, even with the same glaze and clay, color irregularities and variations in shade may occur. 〇 Hand-painted designs may also have slight variations in expression. 〇 Depending on the manufacturing process, some products may exhibit small holes, tiny black spots, scratch marks, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, or warping. 〇 While we have processed product images to match the actual colors as closely as possible, colors and textures may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display. 〇 We deliver products that have passed not only the inspections of the manufacturer and artisan but also our own final inspections. 〇 Product photos are of samples; the actual product delivered will not be identical down to the finest detail. 〇 We cannot accept returns or exchanges for customer convenience. Thank you for your understanding before making a purchase. 〇 We hope you enjoy the unique "charm" and "character" of handmade goods that cannot be found in mass-produced factory items! |
