A pleasing harmony of sophistication and warmth

Despite being porcelain, these pieces have the soft appearance of earthenware and a gentle, milky white color, with a moist texture that fits comfortably in the hand. Within their clean lines, there's a warmth that only handmade items possess, creating a comfort that makes you naturally reach for them every day.

原村俊之さんのマグカップUうま

With the desire to create "everyday tableware that can be used casually," each piece is carefully crafted with thorough consideration for ease of use, comfortable handling, and even the feel on the lips. The "washi-zome" technique, which transfers patterns drawn on Japanese paper to the base, creates gentle, blurred expressions, and the deep rusty glaze on the rim adds a quiet charm to the simple design.

原村俊之さんのマグカップUうま

The charming animals look almost as if they're about to start chattering. Theかすれ (fading) and滲み (bleeding) become part of the scenery, making you involuntarily meet their gaze and smile. This subtle playfulness brings gentleness and comfort to everyday life.

原村俊之さんのマグカップUうま

From serving toast in the morning to enjoying freshly brewed coffee or arranging your favorite snacks, the ordinary daily dining table transforms into a slightly richer, more uplifting experience. As you use them, your affection will deepen, and before you know it, they'll become an indispensable part of your life.

Due to the handmade nature of each piece, there will be individual differences in color, shape, size, thickness, weight, fading and bleeding of the pattern, and subtle distortions. Additionally, the firing color, pinholes, and iron spots (black dots) will vary depending on the glaze application. Please enjoy the unique expressions that are characteristic of handmade items. While you cannot choose which item you will receive, we hope you will look forward to its arrival. If you are concerned, please contact us before shipping, and we will email you separate photos.

Recommended care instructions and precautions from Toshiyuki Haramura

〇Although made using both wheel-throwing and press-molding techniques, subtle distortions may occur due to the handmade nature. Works made by press-molding tend to be more prone to distortion, but we hope you can enjoy the handcrafted charm that results from this.
〇Porcelain clay is used for the base. Since porcelain is non-absorbent, there is no need to pre-boil or seal it before first use. It can be used as is. Also, black spots (iron powder) contained in the clay may appear on the surface.

〇Please refrain from using in microwave ovens or ovens. Although the probability is low, cracking may occur depending on the usage conditions.
〇When removing stains such as tea tannin, we recommend using kitchen bleach.

 Understanding "Tableware"
〇Each piece is handmade, so there may be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, and weight. In addition, even with the same glaze and clay, there will be variations in color and shade.
〇Since each painting is also hand-drawn, the expressions may vary.
〇Depending on the product, small holes, small black dots, hairline scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, and distortions may be observed due to the manufacturing process.
〇While we strive to process images to show colors as close to the actual product as possible, the colors and textures may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display.
〇We deliver items that have passed not only the inspections of the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, but also our final inspection.
〇Product photos are sample shots, so the item you receive will not be identical in every detail.
〇We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer preferences. We ask for your understanding and consent before purchasing.
〇We hope you will enjoy the "flavor" and "charm" unique to handmade products, which cannot be found in mass-produced factory items!
