●●Characteristics of heat-resistant pottery●●

The texture of the baked clay is rough and gritty, and the roughness creates a "gap" for the fire to pass through. If you look closely at the earthen pot, you can see the fine holes even with the naked eye. The fact that the gap is open also allows water to pass through. Before you start using it, please cook porridge to fill this gap.

The pot may crack during use, but this crack is not broken and is due to the adjustment of the expansion caused by the direct heat of the clay pot. There is no problem to use it.

Compared to the clay used for tableware, the heat-resistant clay has a lower firing rate and is softer, so it may break if dropped or hit. If you treat it carefully, you can use it for a long time.

Precautions when using
〇It is recommended to use heat-resistant pottery in an oven or over an open flame.
〇Avoid empty firing. Be sure to add water and ingredients before heating.
〇Because it will be hot after cooking, please be sure to use a trivet when serving it to the dining table.
〇You can use detergent to wash the used earthenware pot, but please do not leave it soaked in detergent solution for a long time. (There is a risk of infiltration.)
〇 After use, when storing, wipe off moisture and dry. (This can cause mold to grow.)

Understanding of "Utsuwa"
〇Because each product is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, uneven colors and shading will appear.
〇Because the painting is also hand-painted one by one, the expression may differ.
〇 Depending on the product, there may be small holes, small black dots, line scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, or distortion due to the manufacturing process.
〇 We have processed the image of the product so that the color is as close to the real thing as possible, but the color and texture may look different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone.
〇In our shop, we not only inspect the manufacturer, pottery, and artist, but also deliver products that have passed the final inspection at our store.
〇 Product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be the same in detail.
〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer's convenience. Please purchase after understanding and acknowledging this.
〇 We would be happy if you could enjoy the “taste” and “interest” of handmade products that are not found in factory mass-produced products!
