Small Stories for Everyday Life
These charming vessels boast a cheerful worldview, as if they've sprung from the pages of a picture book. Animals and plants, seeming to move at any moment, are freely and vividly depicted across the entire surface of each vessel, bringing a warm, comforting feeling just by looking at them. Each piece has a unique expression, embodying the lovable charm of handcrafted work.

All designs are drawn freehand. Cherishing this natural flow, the artist arrived at the traditional "kakki-otoshi" (sgraffito) technique through self-study, without even knowing its name, and refined it into their unique form of expression. The warmth of this handicraft becomes the personality of each piece, creating a profound depth of character.

After experimenting with various clays, the artist chose Mashiko clay for its desired texture. White clay, black clay, and blended clays are used according to the image of each piece, creating gentle and profound expressions. Despite their rustic appearance, these vessels are made remarkably thin and light, surprising you with their lightness the moment you pick them up. In addition to their everyday usability, it's also a plus that they can be used in the microwave for warming.

From serving your favorite snacks to everyday breakfasts and tea times, simply arranging food on these vessels transforms ordinary moments into a slightly special treat. These vessels will likely make you reach for them more often, saying "Today, I'll use this one," truly becoming a part of your daily life.

As each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze pooling, stone inclusions, slight wobbling, and subtle differences in patterns and designs. Additionally, some items may show variations in glaze application, crazing, pinholes, or iron spots (black dots), but these do not affect their use. Please enjoy these unique expressions as characteristics of handmade craftsmanship. You cannot choose which specific item you receive, but we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us before shipping, and we will email you separate photos.

| Understanding "Vessels" |
|
〇Due to being handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, and weight. Even with the same glaze and clay, color variations and shades will occur. 〇As each piece is hand-painted, expressions may differ. 〇Depending on the manufacturing process, some products may have small holes, black spots, hairline scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, or distortions. 〇While we strive to process images to be as close to the actual color as possible, the color and texture may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display. 〇We deliver products that have passed our final inspection, in addition to the inspections by the manufacturer, kiln, and artist. 〇Product photos are samples, so the actual item you receive will not be identical in every detail. 〇Returns or exchanges due to customer convenience are not accepted. Please understand and acknowledge this before purchasing. 〇We hope you enjoy the "flavor" and "interest" unique to handmade items, which mass-produced factory goods lack! |
