A gentle time that brings a smile to your face.

Simple and charming three-dimensional animal figures and patterns. Their rounded forms are somehow gentle, and when you hold them, you feel a warmth that soothes your heart. The soft texture of the patterns and the warmth of the clay blend together, enveloping you in a gentle atmosphere, as if you are gazing at a peaceful landscape.

Each piece is carefully shaped by hand using techniques such as slab building, molding, and hand-coiling. The soft contours retain the marks of handwork, and the texture feels like the warmth of the clay. The gently drawn patterns and three-dimensional objects are also unique, each possessing its own quiet individuality.

As each piece is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze pooling, slight wobbling, patterns, and designs. Additionally, some pieces may show differences in glaze application, crazing, pinholes, or iron spots (black dots), but these do not affect usability. Please enjoy these as unique expressions of handmade craftsmanship. We cannot choose which specific item will be delivered, but we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you are concerned, please feel free to contact us before shipping, and we will email you additional photos.

Recommended care instructions and precautions from Maruban Ceramics Factory

Since the pieces have been glazed, there is no need to boil them in rice water, but due to the nature of the glaze, crazing may occur if hot water is poured into them. For stains that cannot be removed with neutral detergent, a melamine sponge may work.
〇Although dishwashers can be used, we recommend handwashing as the water pressure and abrasives may rub against the surface, reducing the effectiveness of the glaze.
〇When using a microwave, please ensure that there is food on the dish and do not use it empty.

〇Only items with a heat-resistant marking (Maruban tainetsu) on the back can be used over a direct flame or in an oven.
〇Crazing or spots may appear with use, but we hope you will enjoy your dishes for a long time, embracing these changes!

 Understanding "Utsuwa" (Ceramicware)

〇As each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, and weight. Additionally, even with the same glaze and clay, there may be variations in color unevenness and intensity.
〇Since each pattern is hand-painted, the expressions may vary.
〇Due to the manufacturing process, some products may have small holes, small black dots, minor scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, or distortions.
〇While we strive to process images to show colors as close to the actual products as possible, the colors and textures may appear differently depending on your computer or smartphone display.
〇We deliver items that have passed not only the manufacturer's, kiln's, and artist's inspections, but also our final inspection.
〇Product photos are samples, so the actual item you receive will not be identical in every detail.
〇We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and acknowledge this before purchasing.
〇We hope you enjoy the "flavor" and "charm" unique to handmade items, which are not found in mass-produced factory goods!
