A gentle time that brings a smile

Simple and adorable three-dimensional animal figures and patterns. Their rounded shapes are somehow gentle, and holding them brings a warm, comforting feeling that soothes the heart. The vaguely soft texture of the patterns and the warmth of the clay combine, enveloping you in a gentle atmosphere, as if you are gazing at a peaceful landscape.

Each piece is carefully shaped using techniques such as slab building, molding, and hand-pinching. The soft outlines, with traces of handwork still visible, and the tactile warmth of the clay are evident. The gentle patterns and three-dimensional figures drawn all around are all unique, each possessing a quiet individuality.

Due to being handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze pooling, slight wobbling, and patterns. Also, there may be differences in how the glaze is applied, as well as crazing, pinholes, and iron spots (black dots), but these do not affect usability. Please enjoy these unique expressions that are characteristic of handmade items. We cannot guarantee which specific item you will receive, but we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you are concerned, please feel free to contact us before shipping, and we will email you additional photos.

Recommended care instructions and precautions from Maruban Ceramics Factory

The items have been sealed, so there is no need to boil them in rice water, but due to the nature of the glaze, crazing may occur if boiling water is poured in. Stains that cannot be removed with neutral detergent may come off with a melaminesponge.
〇Dishwashers can be used, but we recommend handwashing as water flow and abrasive detergents may reduce the anti-stain effect.
〇When using a microwave oven, please use it with food that should not be heated dry.

〇Only items with a heat-resistant marking (MARUBAN TAINETSU) on the back can be used over direct flame or in an oven.
〇Crazing and spots may appear over time, but we hope you enjoy your tableware for a long time, embracing these characteristics!

 Understanding "Tableware"

〇 Due to each piece being handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, and weight. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, color unevenness and variations in shade will occur.
〇 Because each design is hand-painted, the expressions may vary.
〇 Depending on the manufacturing process, some products may have small holes, small black dots, fine scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, or distortion.
〇 While we process images to be as close to the actual color as possible, the color and texture may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display.
〇 We deliver items that have passed not only the inspection of the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, but also our final inspection.
〇 Product photos are samples, so the actual item you receive will not be identical in every detail.
〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer preferences. We ask for your understanding and acceptance before making a purchase.
〇 We hope you enjoy the "flavor" and "interest" unique to handmade items, which mass-produced factory items do not possess!
