A soft and gentle girl

The girl with pigtails holding a balloon is like a scene from a picture book and is somehow soothing to look at. Her melancholy and sentimental back is striking and makes you feel like you're reading a story. The warm lemon design also soothes the mind.

Yukiko Nagahama's 6-inch girl painting plate with a gentle girl's back view is heartwarming and soothing.

A round plate with a lovely natural sway

The natural fluctuations that can only be achieved through handcrafting and the gentle touch of the freehand drawings convey a sense of warmth. The slightly yellowish white has a soft texture that is soothing to the soul.

The food looks cute

If you serve food on such a cute plate, it will taste even better and make you feel happy. Pasta, omelet rice, cream croquettes, pilaf, sandwiches, and more will look cute and stylish.

Enjoy the cafe atmosphere at home with Yukiko Nagahama's 6-inch girl-painted plate and mug

Since each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, uneven glaze, glaze pools, and subtle differences in the design. Also, there may be differences in the amount of glaze applied, crazing, pinholes, or iron powder (black spots), but this does not affect the use of the item. Please enjoy the unique expressions that can only be achieved through handmade products. You cannot choose which item you will receive, but we hope you will look forward to receiving it. If you are interested, please contact us before shipping and we will email you a photo separately.

This piece shows the shrinkage (crazing) of the glaze when fired. Depending on the angle, it may look like a crack. There may also be some traces of the handmade process, such as slightly larger pinholes. Please enjoy the rich expression of the pottery.

Yukiko Nagahama's recommended care methods and precautions
We recommend that you seal the pores before first use. Place the container and rice water (if you don't have rice water, you can add a little flour to the water) in a pot so that it covers the container, and place on low-medium heat. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let it cool naturally. Once it has cooled, wash it with a mild detergent and dry it thoroughly before using it again. Sealing the pores can help prevent some of the stains, such as color stains and oil stains. It's a hassle, but taking the time will allow you to enjoy your favorite container for a long time.
*If you use a dishwasher, we recommend washing by hand as the water pressure and vibrations during the wash may cause dishes to collide or fall over, resulting in damage such as cracks or chips.

Understanding of "Utsuwa"
*Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, there will be uneven color and shading.
*Each piece is hand painted, so the expression may vary.
Depending on the product, small holes, small black spots, scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, and distortions may be found due to the manufacturing process.
*We process the product images to make them as close to the actual colors as possible, but the colors and textures may appear different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone.
*In addition to inspection by the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, we only deliver products that have passed final inspection at our store.
*The product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be identical in every detail.
* We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and agree before making a purchase.
We hope you enjoy the unique "flavor" and "interestingness" that can only come from something handmade, not mass-produced in a factory!
