Cute and easy to use
A delicate touch is subtly hidden within the warmth of the soft clay. This "just right" feeling is carefully achieved through the creation of these pieces. 
The delicate yet playful designs are painted on the base using the Icchin technique. The designs are painted with white clay and then bisque fired, after which a colored glaze is applied to the pattern and the piece is fired. The colors and shapes of the sweets and fruits are so realistic that you might wonder if they are the real thing. The charm of the piece lies in its delicate and elegant appearance. 
The rich gradation of the glaze makes the food look even more delicious. The placement of the patterns has also been carefully considered to ensure that the beautiful painting is not hidden when the food is served. Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, uneven glaze, glaze drips, glaze pools, slight wobble, patterns, and facial expressions. Also, some pieces may have differences in the glaze application, crazing, pinholes, or iron powder (black spots), but this does not affect their usability.
