A soft glow created by recycled glass
Recycled glass is made from discarded bottles and old glass windows. Used sake bottles are carefully washed, the labels removed, and melted in a furnace. Each piece is spun using the glassblowing technique, and is reborn as a piece that exudes warmth and a soft, gentle glow.
The experience and techniques he acquired at the Ryukyu Glass Studio, Okuhara Glass Factory in Okinawa. Bold yet delicate hand movements, a moment of breathing in sync with the flame. The ripples and fluctuations he creates, combining what he learned as a craftsman with his own sensibilities, seem to reflect the delicate beauty of nature, like a forest breeze or light dancing on the surface of water.
