The soft glow of recycled glass
Recycled glass is made from discarded bottles, old window panes, and other materials. Used sake bottles are carefully washed, labels are removed, and melted in a furnace. Each piece, spun using the blown glass technique, takes on a delicate, gentle glow and is reborn into a warm, inviting vessel.

Experience and techniques acquired at Okuhara Glass Manufacturing, a Ryukyu glass studio in Okinawa. Bold yet delicate hand movements, moments of synchronicity with the flames. Based on what she learned as a craftsman, the ripples and undulations she spins, imbued with her own sensibility, seem to reflect the delicate beauty of nature, like a breeze in the forest or light dancing on the water's surface.

More than a flashy presence, she values the beauty of an object that blends into daily life. It feels just right in your hand every time you pick it up, making your heart leap a little. These small plates, imbued with practical beauty, bring a small joy to ordinary moments.

Light and shadow shift in daily life. Depending on the intensity and angle of the incoming light, the glass shimmers softly, revealing various expressions. Its simple, timeless design adds a gentle touch of color to the unchanging dining table and brings a sense of peace that quietly envelops the heart.

As each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, thickness, subtle variations in molded patterns, faintness, and presence of small and large air bubbles or streaks. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics of handmade craftsmanship. You cannot choose which item you will receive, but we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you are concerned, please contact us before shipping, and we will email you photos.

| Understanding "Handmade Items" |
|
〇 As each item is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, and weight. Additionally, even with the same glaze and clay, there may be color variations and shades. 〇 Since each painting is hand-drawn, the expressions may vary. 〇 Depending on the manufacturing process, some products may have small holes, small black dots, fine scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbling, or distortions. 〇 While we process images to make them as close to the actual color as possible, the color and texture may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display. 〇 We deliver items that have passed not only the inspections of the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, but also our final inspection. 〇 Product photos are samples, so the actual items delivered will not be identical in every detail. 〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer preferences. We ask for your understanding and acceptance before purchasing. 〇 We hope you enjoy the "flavor" and "charm" that are unique to handmade items, unlike factory-produced goods! |
