Fleeting and delicate beauty

The mimosa is painted with a delicate touch in soft, pale colors . Even the shadow it casts on the table is delicate, making for a beautiful appearance that will have you lost track of time as you gaze upon it.

Sayaka Kanazu's Hundred Flower Scenery Cold Tea Glass Mimosa

Carefully crafted

This delicate and intricate mimosa glass is made using the glassblowing technique. The glass is blown and then carved into a round shape after it has cooled. Using the Kiriko technique, it is then carved out with a diamond wheel rotating at high speed. When carved out, it turns into frosted white glass, which is then reprocessed to make it transparent. After the glass has cooled, a plant pattern is carved out using the sandblasting technique, in which sand is sprayed at high pressure, and the depressions are painted with glass paint. This is how the beautiful piece is completed after going through many steps.

The circular engraving fits comfortably in your fingers when you hold it, is comfortable to hold, and acts as a non-slip surface. It also acts as a lens, so when light hits it, the pattern changes appearance, making you feel happy just by looking at it.

Recommended care methods and precautions from Sayaka Kanazu
*Do not scrub the surface pattern strongly or wipe it with organic solvents. Please clean it gently with a soft material.
*Please avoid using a dishwasher as it may cause cracks.
*Please avoid sudden temperature changes such as pouring boiling water on the glass as this may cause it to crack.

Understanding of "Utsuwa"
*Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, there will be uneven color and shading.
*Each piece is hand painted, so the expression may vary.
Depending on the product, small holes, small black spots, scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, and distortions may be found due to the manufacturing process.
*We process the product images to make them as close to the actual colors as possible, but the colors and textures may appear different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone.
*In addition to inspection by the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, we only deliver products that have passed final inspection at our store.
*The product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be identical in every detail.
* We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and agree before making a purchase.
We hope you enjoy the unique "flavor" and "interestingness" that can only come from something handmade, not mass-produced in a factory!
