Fleeting and delicate beauty
The forget-me-nots are painted with a delicate touch in soft, pale colors . Even the shadows they cast on the table are delicate, making for a beautiful appearance that will have you lost track of time as you gaze upon them.
Carefully crafted
The delicate and intricate Forget-me-not glasses are made using the glassblowing technique. The glass is blown and then carved into a round shape after it has cooled. Using the Kiriko technique, it is ground down with a diamond wheel rotating at high speed. When ground, it turns into frosted white glass, which is then reprocessed to make it transparent. After the glass has cooled, a plant pattern is carved into it using the sandblasting technique, in which sand is sprayed at high pressure, and the depressions are painted with glass paint. This is how the beautiful pieces are completed after going through many steps.
The circular engraving fits comfortably in your fingers when you hold it, is comfortable to hold, and acts as a non-slip surface. It also acts as a lens, so when light hits it, the pattern changes appearance, making you feel happy just by looking at it.
It is perfect not only for cold tea, but also for herbal tea, carbonated water, and cold sake. It will look great in a variety of situations and allow you to spend an elegant time.
Because each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, thickness, subtle differences in patterns and designs, scratches, small and large bubbles, and streaks. Please enjoy these unique expressions that can only be achieved through handmade products. You cannot choose which item you will receive, but we hope you will look forward to receiving it. Recommended care methods and precautions from Sayaka Kanazu |
*Do not scrub the surface pattern strongly or wipe it with organic solvents. Please clean it gently with a soft material. *Please avoid using a dishwasher as it may cause cracks. *Please avoid sudden temperature changes such as pouring boiling water on the glass as this may cause it to crack. |
Understanding of "Utsuwa" |
*Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, there will be uneven color and shading. *Each piece is hand painted, so the expression may vary. Depending on the product, small holes, small black spots, scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, and distortions may be found due to the manufacturing process. *We process the product images to make them as close to the actual colors as possible, but the colors and textures may appear different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone. *In addition to inspection by the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, we only deliver products that have passed final inspection at our store. *The product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be identical in every detail. * We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and agree before making a purchase. We hope you enjoy the unique "flavor" and "interestingness" that can only come from something handmade, not mass-produced in a factory! |
