Delicate and beautiful anemone
The anemone flower is derived from the Greek word for wind. Just looking at the delicate and gentle picture of anemone, which is called wind flower in English, makes me feel the warm breeze blowing in the Mediterranean Sea.
Beautiful contrast of white and blue
Sometsuke is a technique in which a pattern is drawn on a white substrate using gosu, a pigment made mainly from cobalt oxide. I am fascinated by beautiful white and indigo.
A gentle texture unique to hand-painting
The anemone is drawn expressively using only the indigo color of Gosu . It is drawn freehand, so you can feel the warmth of handwork.
gentle taste
A wonderful mug that feels warmth in its simplicity. The mouthpiece is made thin, so it has a light taste and is smooth to the touch. Recommended for afternoon break time, desk work, and entertaining guests.
Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in pattern, color, shade, shape, size, weight, and glaze unevenness. In addition, depending on the degree of glaze and the characteristics of the soil, each piece has a different appearance, such as the degree of burnt color, penetration, pinholes, and iron powder (black spots). Please rest assured that there is no problem in using it. We hope that you will enjoy the unique taste and individuality of handmade products. You can't choose which item you receive, but we hope you'll look forward to it until it arrives. If you are interested, please contact us before shipping and we will email you a separate photo.

Recommended maintenance methods and precautions from Mr. Makama |
〇 Dyed goods with cobalt pigment (Gosu paint) can be used in both microwave ovens and dishwashers. Please refrain from using it. 〇 Regarding products other than tableware (vases, ornaments, etc.), please refrain from using electronic devices such as microwave ovens and dishwashers. 〇Avoid sudden temperature changes such as rapid heating or rapid cooling, as it may cause cracks or damage. |
Understanding of "Utsuwa" |
〇Because each product is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, uneven colors and shading will appear. 〇Because the painting is also hand-painted one by one, the expression may differ. 〇 Depending on the product, there may be small holes, small black dots, line scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, or distortion due to the manufacturing process. 〇 We have processed the image of the product so that the color is as close to the real thing as possible, but the color and texture may look different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone. 〇In our shop, we not only inspect the manufacturer, pottery, and artist, but also deliver products that have passed the final inspection at our store. 〇 Product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be the same in detail. 〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer's convenience. Please purchase after understanding and acknowledging this. 〇 We would be happy if you could enjoy the “taste” and “interest” of handmade products that are not found in factory mass-produced products! |
