Soft white and shape

It's a soft, milky white color. Its smooth texture feels good to the touch, and the rounded handle fits comfortably in your fingers. When you pick it up, you can't help but stare at it.

Warmth is conveyed through washi dyeing

We use a technique called "washi dyeing," in which a design is drawn on washi paper, cut out and pasted onto the base material to transfer the colors. The finished product has a gentle texture with a sense of charm, such as fading and bleeding.

A bird that looks comfortable

A bird flying comfortably on a gentle breeze. When you see a picture of a bird flying freely in the sky, you naturally feel refreshed.

The other side also features a dyed washi paper design of leaves, which makes you smile.

Warmth of edge rust and toshinogi

The rusted rim of the rim and the finish on the bottom of the mug give the soft milky white a nice balance and accentuate the adorable bird and leaf design, creating a lovely appearance.

Tableware by Toshiyuki Haramura

Since each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, thickness, weight, fading or bleeding of the pattern, and subtle distortion. In addition, the degree of glaze applied will affect the appearance of each piece, such as the degree of firing color, pinholes, and iron powder (black spots). Please enjoy these unique expressions that can only be achieved through handmade items. You cannot choose which item you will receive, but we hope you will look forward to receiving it. If you are interested, please contact us before shipping and we will email you a photo separately.

HARAMURA Toshiyuki

2007 He was strongly attracted to the charms of Hizen porcelain, such as Ko-Imari and Nabeshima, and studied at the ceramics school and under artists in Arita, Saga Prefecture, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain.
2010 He established his own company, "2020 Pottery" in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. He mainly produces porcelain tableware, including white, blue-and-white, and blue-and-white.

Recommended care methods and precautions from Toshiyuki Haramura

* Porcelain is not absorbent, so there is no need to seal it by boiling it before use. You can use it as it is. * Please refrain from using microwaves or ovens. Ceramics may crack due to sudden changes in temperature. * Please use kitchen bleach to remove stains such as tea stains.

Understanding of "Utsuwa"
*Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, there will be uneven color and shading.
*Each piece is hand painted, so the expression may vary.
Depending on the product, small holes, small black spots, scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, and distortions may be found due to the manufacturing process.
*We process the product images to make them as close to the actual colors as possible, but the colors and textures may appear different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone.
*In addition to inspection by the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, we only deliver products that have passed final inspection at our store.
*The product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be identical in every detail.
* We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and agree before making a purchase.
We hope you enjoy the unique "flavor" and "interestingness" that can only come from something handmade, not mass-produced in a factory!
