A cute pattern that warms your heart
Adorable small flowers are drawn on the pottery by referring to the pattern of old Tobe from the Edo period, using the representative technique of Tobe ware, "Sometsuke". The pattern is fashionable and cute, with the texture of the good old days fused with modern tastes.
warm blue
Small flower blue with a soft and gentle texture. The gentle and cute blue florets complement your food wonderfully. In addition, the finely intrusions on the surface make it even more attractive.
Can be used as a side dish or as a serving plate
The depth is about 3 cm, so it's safe to serve juicy side dishes. Nikujaga, dried daikon radish, boiled hijiki, etc. are perfect. It goes well with sashimi and assorted pickles. The rim is slightly turned inward, making it easy to scoop and prevent spills, making it easy to use and useful.
You can enjoy the expression of each container
The green color that appears when the glaze reacts, the large and small iron spots that appear when the iron content of the soil reacts during firing, the intrusive cracks that appear due to the difference in contraction rate between the base material and the glaze after firing, the size and shape of the patterns unique to hand-painting. You can feel the warmth and taste because each piece is handcrafted, such as subtle differences such as bleeding.
Because it is finished by hand, it is an item with individual differences. Each piece has a different expression, such as the pattern and size, color unevenness, unevenness, shading, pinholes, and iron points. We hope that you will understand in advance that it is a taste unique to handmade products. We deliver products that have passed the quality standards and inspections of the pottery and our store. You can't choose which item you receive, but we hope you'll look forward to it until it arrives. If you are interested, please contact us before shipping and we will email you a separate photo, so please feel free to contact us.

Tobe ware |
Ceramics made in Tobe-cho, Iyo-gun, Ehime Prefecture and its surrounding towns. It has a history of about 240 years since it began to be made in the middle of the Edo period. In 1976 , white porcelain, dyed works, celadon, and tenmoku ( iron glaze) were designated as national traditional crafts, and in 2005 , they were designated as intangible cultural properties of Ehime Prefecture. There are about 100 kilns in and around Tobe Town, and Tobe ware is characterized by white porcelain with indigo patterns, thick and plain shapes, and hardness of the material. In addition, the arabesque pattern is cited as a representative design, and other traditional patterns such as the nazuna pattern, the togusa pattern, and the sun pattern are also considered. Today, Tobe ware with new designs is born while inheriting traditional techniques and patterns. |
Precautions for use from Tosaigama Nagato Ceramics Co., Ltd. |
〇Since the original clay and glaze are used, a pattern-like intrusion appears. If you use it for a long time, stains will appear. |
Understanding of "Utsuwa" |
〇Because each product is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, uneven colors and shading will appear. 〇Because the painting is also hand-painted one by one, the expression may differ. 〇 Depending on the product, there may be small holes, small black dots, line scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, or distortion due to the manufacturing process. 〇 We have processed the image of the product so that the color is as close to the real thing as possible, but the color and texture may look different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone. 〇In our shop, we not only inspect the manufacturer, pottery, and artist, but also deliver products that have passed the final inspection at our store. 〇 Product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be the same in detail. 〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer's convenience. Please purchase after understanding and acknowledging this. 〇 We would be happy if you could enjoy the “taste” and “interest” of handmade products that are not found in factory mass-produced products! |
