A tranquil presence embodying wabi-sabi
Like an embrace of time, these vessels hold the warmth of beautifully layered past and present. While based on Japanese aesthetics, they also possess a certain stately elegance reminiscent of Western antiques, their quiet beauty seeming to stand gently within time itself.
"Eating" is an act of living, and at the same time, a joyful moment that adds color to life. Each piece is carefully crafted with the wish that it will enhance the deliciousness of the food served and create the very atmosphere of the dining table.
Beautiful openwork that carries a sense of transience. Light and shadow softly interchange within the vessel, allowing you to enjoy delicate expressions depending on the viewing angle and lighting. The tasteful white base is created through "carbonization firing." By firing with charcoal, the subtle fluctuations of carbon are reflected in the glaze, gently etching a unique landscape onto the vessel's surface.
They gently accompany a casual morning meal and subtly add charm to a special, joyful day. As if casting a gentle spell, they softly envelop the mundane scenery of daily life, transforming everyday moments into slightly happier ones.
As each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, thickness, glaze irregularities, glaze pools, and subtle differences in impression. Also, depending on how the glaze is applied, the firing color, pinholes, and iron spots (black dots) will vary. Please be assured that there are no problems with use.
