A serene presence that evokes wabi-sabi
The vessel, as if imbued with the passage of time, emanates a warmth where past and present beautifully intertwine. While rooted in Japanese aesthetics, it also possesses a certain gravitas reminiscent of Western antiques, and its quiet beauty seems to stand gently within time.
"Food" is an act of living, and at the same time, a joyful moment that adds color to life. Each piece is carefully crafted with the desire that it will make the served dishes look even more delicious and shape the very atmosphere of the dining table.
Beautiful openwork that holds a certain ephemeral quality. Light and shadow softly intertwine within the vessel, allowing you to enjoy delicate expressions depending on the viewing angle and the light. The tasteful white base is created through "carbonization firing." By being fired with charcoal, the fluctuations of carbon are reflected in the glaze, gently imprinting a unique landscape on the surface of the vessel.
It gently complements an ordinary breakfast table and adds a touch of elegance to special, joyful days. As if casting a gentle spell, it softly envelops the mundane scenery of daily life, transforming everyday moments into slightly happier ones.
As each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, thickness, glaze unevenness/pooling, and subtle variations in impression. Additionally, depending on the application of the glaze, each piece will have a different appearance, such as firing marks, pinholes, or iron spots (black dots). Please rest assured that these do not pose any problems for use.
