Taste unique to handicrafts
Enokida kiln pottery made using Mashiko soil and traditional glaze. Because each piece is made by hand, the natural fluctuations and flexures in the shape give a sense of taste and depth that cannot be expressed with mass-produced items.
Deep, gentle green
A green glaze that feels gentle, like a greenish pale blue chigusa color. In addition, because it is baked using a reduction firing method, it has a richly flavored finish. The iron powder (black spots) that appear when the iron contained in the clay reacts during firing also gives you a sense of the warmth of the clay.
Easy-to-use shape
The depth is approximately 2.7 cm, so you can safely serve even slightly juicy foods. It has a moderate weight and thickness, and a slightly textured rim that makes it easy to hold and use, making it useful.
Great for serving a la carte dishes.
The deep plate is about 15 cm in diameter, so it is perfect for serving juicy fried tofu, boiled eggplant, stewed pumpkin, potato salad, etc. It's also a good idea to put Japanese sweets such as Kuzukiri and warabi mochi on top.
Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze pools, and glaze shrinkage. In addition, there may be differences in the degree of glaze application, fading, pinholes, and iron powder (sunspots), but this does not cause any problems with use. Please enjoy the unique expression that can only be achieved by handmade products. Although you cannot choose which item you receive, we hope that you will look forward to receiving it. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us before shipping and we will email you a separate photo.

Understanding about “Utsuwa” |
〇As each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze or clay, uneven colors and shading will appear. 〇As each piece is hand-painted, the expression may vary. 〇Due to the manufacturing process, small holes, small black spots, line scratches, protrusions, pinholes, wobbles, and distortions may be seen depending on the product. 〇Product images are processed to be as close to the actual color as possible, but the color and texture may appear different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone. 〇At our store, we deliver products that have not only been inspected by the manufacturer, pottery, and artist, but also passed a final inspection at our store. 〇Product photos are sample photos, so the items you receive will not be the same in every detail. 〇We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and understand this before purchasing. 〇We would be happy if you could enjoy the ``taste'' and ``interest'' that are unique to handmade products that cannot be found in factory mass-produced products! |
