A warm, powdered white finish
The soft expression of this Kohiki ware is achieved by applying white makeup. The pale pink red spots called Gohon, which are unique to Kohiki ware, appear and give it an indescribable warmth.
Tasteful appearance
The iron contained in the clay oxidizes during firing and appears as black spots (iron powder) on the surface of the pottery. These scattered black spots of iron add an even more profound flavor to the pottery.
