Cute quail pattern
This is a traditional kneading technique called "Uzura-de" named after the resemblance of the feather pattern of a quail. The calm combination of brown and gray will beautifully decorate your dishes.
Expressive "Kneading Technique"
The technique used is called "Kneading", in which clay of different colors is combined and stacked alternately to create patterns. The unique distortion creates a soft look because of the kneading technique.
Adult cute appearance
The earth colors naturally soothe the soul. They are cute but not too cute, creating an exquisite balance. The calm color scheme means you'll likely find yourself using them a lot.
For snack time
A convenient round plate with a diameter of about 16 cm. It can be used as a side plate, and is perfect for cakes, macarons, yokan, daifuku, and other snacks. The kneaded dish will add a nice accent to your table.
Since each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, uneven glaze, glaze pools, and subtle differences in patterns and designs. Also, some pieces may have differences in the amount of glaze applied, pinholes, or iron powder (black spots), but this does not affect their use. Please enjoy them as they are unique expressions that can only be achieved through handmade products. You cannot choose which item you will receive, but we hope you will look forward to receiving it. If you are interested, please contact us before shipping and we will email you a photo.

Recommended care method from Hanako Sakashita |
No special care such as sealing before use is required. *The back of the pot is not glazed, so it gets dirty easily. Please wash it as soon as possible after use, dry it well, and then store it. If you are concerned about stains, it is a good idea to soak it in oxygen bleach. |
Understanding of "Utsuwa" |
*Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, pattern, size, thickness, weight, etc. Also, even with the same glaze and clay, there will be uneven color and shading. *Each piece is hand painted, so the expression may vary. Depending on the product, small holes, small black spots, scratches, protrusions, pinholes, rattling, and distortions may be found due to the manufacturing process. *We process the product images to make them as close to the actual colors as possible, but the colors and textures may appear different depending on the display screen of your computer or smartphone. *In addition to inspection by the manufacturer, kiln, and artist, we only deliver products that have passed final inspection at our store. *The product photos are sample shots, so the items you receive will not be identical in every detail. * We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience. Please understand and agree before making a purchase. We hope you enjoy the unique "flavor" and "interestingness" that can only come from something handmade, not mass-produced in a factory! |
